If your HVAC doesn’t seem to be working properly, take a tour of the house prior to calling a professional. This will help the contractor determine where the problem is and how to fix it.

Know what work you want done before you hire a contractor. It will be difficult for an HVAC contractor to give you with an estimate over the phone if they have not seen your current system. It will be more hard if you over the phone without the information readily available.

Clean your condenser’s fan and coils each spring to ensure that your condenser fan operates at it’s best.Clean off any leaves or debris from your condenser unit regularly.

Turn the power off first so you don’t get hurt or break something. Next, pop the grill off, pull out the blades and start cleaning them and the unit itself off gently.

Your HVAC units might suffer when your trees start to lose their leaves. Make sure you clean out your fan grill is cleaned often once nearby trees start shedding their leaves. The fan must not have anything in the way so that air can flow into it, and if it becomes blocked, then your system could suffer.

Lubricate your condenser once each year. You can find these ports as they have a rubber or metal cap. Use SAE 20 oil that is non-detergent and lightweight, detergent-free SAE 20 oil, but make sure to avoid overfilling them.

Put your outdoor unit in the shade if you are installing them.

I’ve been using this app for several months to dive neck deep into a remodel project, however lately it continuously freezes up on me. I have been unable to do more than open a drawing, click on a task and that’s it. Done. I close, clear history, reopen only to have the same thing happen. It’s now pretty much useless. I’ve tried many times to delete the app and reinstall without success. I’ve got a lot of hours of work into my remodel layouts including accurate house measurements AND furniture measurements. I’m incredibly frustrated. I tried clicking on ‘support’ and got some nearly illegible message about ‘maintenance’. And yes, I did purchase all the ‘in app options’.
